Reporting to the APAC IT Infrastructure & Service Manager in this newly created role, you'll design and run the cyber security tools that keep Virgin Active APAC safe. In a nutshell You’ll keep our security platforms humming. You’ll run vulnerability scans, risk assessments, and tighten up any weak spots. You’ll jump in fast when incidents pop up, respond like a pro, and help us learn from every event. You’ll work with IT teams, business units, and external vendors to detect and neutralise threats. You’ll keep the paperwork crisp – reports, recommendations, and process updates that actually make sense. You’ll champion security compliance (ISO 27001, NIST, Essential Eight) and keep us on the right track. You’ll lead security awareness training that's actually engaging – not just a box‑tick exercise. All about you You have 3+ years of experience in cyber security, security operations, or IT security, plus a degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or Information Technology. You have aligned experience. You may have ve worked hands‑on with Microsoft Entra ID, endpoint protection tools (hello, CrowdStrike), and SOC monitoring platforms. You know your way around vulnerability management, incident response, and risk assessment. Bonus points if you've played in the cloud security space (Azure or AWS). You are people‑focused. You love collaborating with technical and non‑technical teams and can explain security risks in plain English. Helping others understand why security matters and building a strong security culture gives you a kick. You are self‑assured. You stay calm under pressure, troubleshoot complex security issues, and back yourself when recommending improvements. People trust your expertise because you know your stuff and you're authentic when you share it. You are driven. You stay ahead of evolving threats, are always curious about the next challenge, and proactively improve processes and tools. You take ownership and deliver results. You have a can‑do approach. You think on your feet, adapt quickly when priorities shift, and stay cool when incidents pop up. You're motivated to continually improve and leave things better than you found them.
