The role of a Prototyping Engineer is to apply these methods to assemble and deliver technology and business outcomes for the world’s leading clients. Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the AWS APJ Prototyping and Cloud Engineering team to support our rapidly growing and dynamic business. As part of an agile AI enabled development team you will support AWS customers to develop prototypes specific to their articulated strategic vision for new products and services. Key job responsibilities In this position, you will play a pivotal role in building groundbreaking capabilities, maintaining operational excellence through a strong Amazonian DevOps culture, and championing the needs of the customer. You will help with design, implementation, and launch of many key features, influence product feature definition, drive operational excellence, and spearhead best practices that enable a quality product. Qualifications The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering experiences that delight customers and creating technology outcomes that are robust. A commitment to teamwork, hustle, and strong communication skills (to both business and technical partners) are absolute requirements. Basic qualifications 4+ years of specific technology domain experience (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructure 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries Preferred Qualifications Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective Experience and Technical Skills We are seeking passionate Software Engineers with proven and demonstrable skill and expert knowledge of distributed systems design and implementation, large scale automation and workflow management, database design and implementation, API design and implementation, security. Specifically, deep SDE skills across 4 or more of API gateway, Lambda, RDS, EC2, Networking, Containers (ECS, EKS), S3, Amazon Bedrock, AWS Transform, Control Tower, Macie, GuardDuty, Config, Security Hub, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, Code Commit, Code Pipeline, Code Deploy, CDK.
