Retaining Wall Construction Laborer

Role Description: We are looking for a person responsible to assist with the onsite construction of the post and panel retaining walls. Responsibilities include: Assist with setting out walls. Drilling piers with excavator / spotting the excavator. Post placement and setting Installing drainage pipe and geofabric behind walls Backfilling walls with gravel using excavator or skid steer. Bolting fence bracket attachments brackets to posts Standard Hours - 7:00am - 4:00pm Monday to Friday. Note that if concrete is delayed, we may sometimes work back later in the afternoons. Requirements (must haves) White card construction card Must live within an hour of Campbelltown, either north (up the M7 towards Kellyville) Driver’s licence – must have at least 5 points. Consistent and reliable – we need someone who turns up every day, 5 days a week. Fit/energetic and able to work on your feet for the entire day and prepared to do physical work. Other Skills (not essential but preferred) Own registered tray back Ute HC truck drivers’ licence or experience Forklift ticket and experience Previous experience in concreting or retaining wall construction. Rock drilling experience. Remuneration The below is remuneration schedule. Pay will increase the longer you stay with us Base gross wage per week: $1,400 A $100 weekly travel allowance will also be payable We will start accruing 4 weeks holiday pay (per year) after 10 weeks Company provided work Ute (after approx. 15 weeks) Note that this job will always be on casual basis only. We will not pay sick leave, public holidays or if rain causes sites to be shut. However accrued holiday pay can be used on these days instead.
