A highly regarded, quality-focused bakery café group is seeking a skilled Head Chef / Kitchen Manager to lead kitchen operations at one of its flagship daytime venues. This is an exciting role for an experienced leader who can support both day-to-day kitchen execution and upcoming business expansion projects. About the Role The Head Chef / Kitchen Manager will oversee a small but high-performing kitchen and sandwich production team, ensuring smooth service and consistent output across a popular daytime food offering. Key responsibilities include: Leading and coaching a team of chefs and sandwich makers Managing daily preparation and production of sandwiches, filled bagels, savoury items and other signature daytime dishes Overseeing kitchen systems, quality control, food safety, equipment care and overall kitchen standards Handling ordering, stock control, cost awareness and supplier coordination Managing rosters, recruitment and training within the department Working closely with senior management on operational improvements, menu development and multi-site growth initiatives About You You are a steady, reliable leader with the desire to commit to a long-term role.
