About The Role A Strategic Consultant unifies service across existing accounts that are large, complex and operationally challenging. The role provides deep specialization in product, industry and account knowledge to deliver tailored consulting solutions and unique insights. What You’ll Do 45% Account Management Develop and execute firm-wide strategy to retain product and workstation ASV as outlined in the Strategic Account Plan. Effectively communicate strategy, goal tracking progress, risks and opportunities to align Sales & Consulting. Work directly with Consultants to increase knowledge of account-specific products, processes and client workflows. Execute strategic projects that improve usage, increase stickiness, or enhance process stability. Leverage BI tools to track zero usage, analyze product risks and measure intangible risks across the enterprise. Conduct post‑mortems and document action plans to minimize future occurrences. Facilitate and increase collaboration across the account team. Conduct regular service reviews with key stakeholders and influencers to identify areas for improvement. Manage interactions with key clients using defensive sales techniques to maximize existing sales levels. Serve as the universal point of contact, overseeing the account and ensuring communication of the strategic vision. 20% Project Management Primary liaison for large‑scale product implementations, workstation deployments and competitor displacements. Optimize support of complex client processes by maintaining and updating comprehensive process documentation and re‑engineering legacy workflows. Assist with Professional Service engagements by providing account knowledge and expertise. Evaluate support processes and identify efficiencies, leveraging centers of excellence to scale support. Lead project work on trials or proof‑of‑concepts within existing user groups, using Support Centers for large‑scale conversion projects. 20% Business Development (ASV Growth) Partner with Sales to hit yearly ASV target and increase FactSet's footprint. Effectively position FactSet's technology‑driven solutions and bespoke value proposition with client‑specific business models. Leverage FactSet SVP / EVP / ERO leadership for 'Strategy Day' to educate stakeholder on product roadmap, digital transformation and enterprise partnership discussions. Uncover opportunities to upsell FactSet products and workflow solutions. Provide intimate knowledge of competitor landscape, supporting offensive displacement and defensive risk prevention strategies. 15% Subject Matter Expertise Use industry and client knowledge to identify core business goals, uncover challenges, and define short‑ and long‑term priorities. Become intimately familiar with the client's technical infrastructure and future needs. Maintain acute knowledge of FactSet products, competitors, and investment strategy relevant to supported firm types. Identify personal gaps in product knowledge and pursue training via Talent Development / LinkedIn Learning. Act as an SME for Sales & Consulting by leading internal training, sharing knowledge, and supporting peers. Remain agnostic of our product offering while staying current with market trends. Collaborate with SBUs to understand product strategy, roadmap, and new features, partnering with accounts to implement solutions. Display expert understanding of users, products, technology, competitors, and enterprise solutions to support key accounts. What We’re Looking For Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, MIS, Computer Science, or related field. Australian Citizen or Australian PR, or New Zealand Citizen Exceptional performance in a client‑facing role with a strong track record of leadership and collaboration. High level of enthusiasm, positive attitude, and competitive nature. Confidence and composure in high‑pressure situations Proven ability to ask insightful questions to uncover explicit and implicit needs. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to run effective meetings internally and with clients. Proven ability to interact effectively with senior‑level contacts in the organization and client.
