1 day ago Be among the first 25 applicants Melbourne Rovers Soccer Club, Melbourne's LGBTQIA+ soccer club since 2008, are hunting for a volunteer Coach to lead our senior squad through the 2026 Metro league season. The team is yours to shape from the ground up, backed by a committed and resourceful leadership team. You’ll deliver one training session a week and manage games on Sundays, with the option to join in on futsal, socials, and community events. We do things differently. You will be joining a team that is actively engaging with the wider football world, fostering meaningful connections with organizations like Melbourne Victory, Football Victoria, and community non-profits. This is a chance to coach in an environment that champions diversity and is building a genuine presence in the Victorian sporting landscape. If you want to lead an inclusive squad and be part of a club that stands for something more, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Plan and run one weekly training session that balances development, structure and fun Lead the team on match days with clear communication and tactical awareness Create training sessions that challenge skilled players while supporting beginners Work with the committee on season planning and squad management Foster an inclusive environment where every player feels welcome and supported Provide regular feedback to players and maintain open communication with leadership What You Bring Coaching accreditation is preferred but not essential if you have strong experience Ability to coach a very mixed group without losing patience or spark Strong communication and a collaborative mindset A values led approach that aligns with the club culture Reliability and consistency with training and match days What We Offer Networking opportunities you won't find anywhere else Support from a committed leadership team with potential coaching courses or qualifications The chance to shape a growing club and influence long term development Complete autonomy to coach and develop the team how you think is best Time Commitment One training session per week Weekend match days during the season Occasional planning sessions or club events #J-18808-Ljbffr
