Assistant Night Manager – Part‑time (2 nights per week) Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts – Terrigal NSW The moment a guest steps into one of our hotels, they walk into a genuinely memorable experience. As the Assistant Night Manager you’ll deliver this by assisting in overseeing all aspects of the front office, including guest services, concierge, business centre, telephone services and guest reservations. You’ll also create the warm atmosphere that makes our guests feel at home in any location. Your day to day Financial Prepare and execute the end of day procedures. Perform backup and roll the day over to the next day. Identify and correct any discrepancies in charges posted to guest folios and conference accounts. Maintain intimate knowledge of departmental standards and procedures. Perform check in, check out and room change procedures and ensure all data are entered completely into the hotel systems in accordance with reservation policy. Maintain cashier float and ensure accurate daily report of all money received. Ensure all hotel floats, key logs are correct at end of shift. Reconcile guest charges with departmental accounts. Balance all credit card transactions. Balance cashier accounts. Guest Experience Champion the winning ways culture within the hotel to ensure our people consistently deliver positive guest experiences. Greet all guests at all times in a friendly and helpful manner and attempt to learn and use guest’s name at every opportunity. Be responsible and attend to guest requests at all times. Be knowledgeable of all special promotion procedures, e.g. Seasonal Packages, Frequent Flyers Programs, and IHG Loyalty programs. Attend to guest complaints, inquiries and requests, referring problems to the Assistant Night Manager/Night Manager if unable to assist. Do everything possible to ensure that guests depart the hotel with a positive impression of hotel service. In the absence of other hotel departments, provide a variety of guest services including but not restricted to Room Service, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Reception and Reservations. People Attend training courses as required. Adhere to personal grooming and hygiene standards. Establish and maintain effective employee working relationships. Educate and train team members in compliance with federal, state and local laws and safety regulations. Ensure staff is properly trained and has the tools and equipment to carry out job duties. Ensure your team is properly trained on systems, security, service and quality standards. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Hotel Management/Business Administration, plus 2 years of Front Office/Guest Service experience including management experience. Communication skills – guests will need to come to you with concerns as well as compliments, so you’ll be easy to talk to. Problem solving skills that turn issues into opportunities so every guest leaves with great memories. Compliant – you’ll be above the minimum age required and hold RSA Certification & Full NSW Drivers Licence. Strong – sometimes you’ll need to lift, push, and pull big objects up to 23 kg. Fluency in English – extra language skills would be great, but not essential. Strong organisational skills, ability to work within deadlines and prioritise effectively. #J-18808-Ljbffr
