About The Role We at InfraBuild would like to invite recent or soon-to-be graduates to take part in our 2026 Graduate Program as a Trainee Trader in Laverton, VIC. Real Work with Real Outcomes – Starting in January 2026, our program offers a two-year fixed-term contract with the potential for permanent placement. This immersive, hands‑on program provides practical learning through fundamental tasks and meaningful work. Participants will complete two 12‑month rotational placements, gaining a comprehensive technical and commercial skills training blend. The program includes a structured development plan including continuous coaching, mentorship, and formal training, allowing participants to rotate through diverse business units. This structure ensures a thorough understanding of operations and strategic initiatives, combining on‑the‑job learning with formal education. As a Trainee Trader, you will have the opportunity to: On-the-job learning alongside experienced Traders and leaders A structured development plan with regular feedback and formal training Mentoring and coaching to help shape your career direction Opportunities to contribute to real commercial decisions and customer solutions Achieving a formal qualification aligned to your learning journey Rotate through business functions including Operations, Sales, and HSE Learn to support trading activities, including quoting, customer service, and tender preparation Begin to develop your own customer relationships under guidance Contribute to safety and compliance initiatives across recycling sites Assist in analysing market activity, contracts, and business performance Collaborate with teams to improve service delivery and customer outcomes Gain insight into how we balance operational safety, cost, and service excellence in a fast‑paced environment We seek adaptable individuals who thrive in challenging environments, are keen to engage in real projects, work as part of a team, and make meaningful contributions to the business. We’re looking for people who are: Passionate about working with customers and building strong relationships Naturally curious and enjoy learning through doing Comfortable working in industrial environments and rolling up your sleeves Excited about the prospect of becoming a future Trading Account Executive Eligibility Criteria: Australian/NZ citizenship or a visa granting unlimited working rights. Less than two years of full‑time, discipline‑specific work experience. A valid drivers licence Any prior experience in sales, operations, manufacturing, waste management, customer service welcomed but not essential. Note: Successful placement into this program will be subject to pre‑employment checks, including but not limited to criminal, qualification, medical, and reference checks.
