Join to apply for the EOI - Lineworker - Ops East Regional role at Western Power We are currently seeking interest for the Operations East depots (Forrestdale, Narrogin, Katanning, Kondinin, Merredin, Northam, Koorda, Kalgoorlie). The Western Power Network forms the vast majority of the South West Interconnected Network (SWIN), which together with all of the electricity generators, comprises the South West Interconnected Sy stem (SWIS). The network operations and depots are broken down into 3 Operational Maintenance Areas. These are South, East and North Operations. As a Lineworker, you will be accountable for constructing and maintaining transmission and distribution networks. You'll respond quickly to faults to minimise disruptions, deliver high-quality work, and adapt to evolving industry standards. Working in various conditions, you'll plan and execute tasks safely and efficiently while maintaining positive customer interactions. Your Role in Action Attending and rectifying faults in a timely manner will ensure minimal loss of supply and less disruption to the customer. Complete allocated construction and maintenance work to Western Power standards ensuring consistent quality across the network. Maintaining and enhancing core Line skills with changing industry standards and business requirements. Participating in pre-job planning to identify risks, hazards and task variables and control measures to ensure safe, reliable and affordable job completion. Working in environmental elements to complete jobs subject to adequate safety and control measures being implemented. Good customer relations are upheld when working in the field especially where there is direct contact with the public. What Makes You a Great Fit Certificate III in ESI - Power System Distribution Overhead or equivalent or New Zealand Electricity Supply (Distribution) Minimum Level 4. Valid WA ‘HR' Class Drivers Licence. Demonstrated industry experience in the construction and maintenance of the distribution electricity network.
