Environment Advisor Bendigo

Where you will be working Lactalis Bendigo in Victoria is situated in Central Victoria. This region is well known for producing premium food and first grade dairy products. About our role The role will take the lead to ensure compliance to policies standards licence and legal requirements. There is a key focus on wastewater management by managing the day to day results and actions to ensure compliance. Lead the development and delivery of environmental management and monitoring program across the site. Engage with the site managers expert technical professionals government regulatory authorities and monitoring service provides to ensure that site environmental monitoring objectives are met. Ensure treatment plant is operated according to licence conditions. Ensure daily operations are conducted in accordance with standards / procedures. Work with internal & external stakeholders to operate the treatment plant in accordance with EPA requirements. Identify & improve system issues and procedural changes. Ensure compliance with all relevant contractual regulatory and legislative requirements as a minimum standard. Ensure all waste to company specifications and in line with environmental guidelines and expectations of the regulators and Lactalis. Demonstrate and ensure compliance with standards for EHS performance and behaviour consistent with Companys environmental and health & safety vision and policies and standards What you can bring to the role Degree in Environmental Science Health and Safety or equivalent relevant qualification. Trusted expert advisor in the technical field of environmental monitoring.
