The incumbent will be responsible for the effective and efficient coordination of multiple clinical trials within the Feto‑maternal Unit at Liverpool Hospital, ensuring that all research activities are conducted in accordance with the approved protocol, relevant legislation, institutional policies, ethical requirements, and the principles of Good Clinical Practice (GCP). The role plays a key part in maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and integrity across all clinical trial activities. The position will actively promote and facilitate participation in clinical trials and research to support the translation of evidence into clinical practice across multidisciplinary fields. Clinical duties include vital signs, venepuncture, blood collection and processing, cannulation, investigational product administration, ECG, CTG, ultrasound, and post‑birth follow‑up for neonates/infants. The coordinator must recognize and manage potential adverse events while ensuring accurate recording. Strong data management skills are required, including systematic data extraction from medical records, data collection via phone surveys, and precise data entry into electronic case report forms and systems. Key Responsibilities Coordinate multiple clinical trials within the Feto‑maternal Unit. Ensure compliance with protocols, legislation, institutional policies, ethical requirements, and GCP. Promote participation in clinical trials and support translation of evidence into practice. Perform clinical tasks: vital signs, venepuncture, blood collection/processing, cannulation, investigational product administration, ECG, CTG, ultrasound, post‑birth follow‑up. Recognise and manage adverse events, accurately record them. Manage data extraction, collection, and entry into electronic case report forms. Location and Facility Liverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south‑western Sydney, providing services to the local government area of Liverpool City Council and district services to residents and visitors. It offers a range of state‑wide services, including critical care, trauma, neonatal intensive care, and brain injury rehabilitation. The hospital is undergoing a major redevelopment (LHAP project) to enhance capacity and facilities. How To Apply Confirm current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Attach a copy of your AHPRA registration. Describe your clinical skills assisting mothers and babies prenatally and post‑natally, especially experience with vital signs, venepuncture, blood collection and processing, cannulation, investigational product administration, ECG, CTG, ultrasound, and post‑birth follow‑up for neonates/infants, maintaining accurate logs. Describe your data management experience and ability to use eMR and enter data accurately into electronic case report forms and systems.
