Brisbane based role with a national scope Hybrid and flexible working options Opportunity to learn and grow your finance career with a leading law firm Our Role We’re seeking a motivated and detail-focused Accounts Officer to become an integral part of our high-performing finance team. Working as part of a national team, the Accounts Officer is accountable for delivering high quality transactional and administrative support across finance and accounts operations. Providing timely and accurate processing of requests and responding to queries from key stakeholders will see the ideal incumbent taking an approach that supports stakeholders in understanding the firm’s accounts processes and requirements, while also supporting them in fulfilling their responsibilities in the process. Key duties of this role include Processing accounts transactions including invoices, payments and other transactions and provide friendly accurate support to staff across the firm. Providing end to end hands on support across the technical accounts and finance team. Acting as a subject matter expert on accounts receivable, including timely allocation, receipting and reconciliation of funds, and system enhancements and process improvements. Maintaining accurate records and continually analysing data integrity, resolving anomalies when detected Partnering with co-located administrative and client facing teams in resolution of client requests while providing effective support across all office locations. Supporting the onboarding of new clients and matters, ensuring adherence to compliance and risk management protocols. Providing back up support to the broader finance and accounts team during absence or peak periods. If you have strong interpersonal and communication skills, a collaborative approach and an interest in working as a team while taking full ownership for your individual work, this is a great role for you. Along with excellent attention to detail and an ability to multi-task, a high level of computer literacy is essential, particularly in Microsoft Office. Experience with legal practice management systems such as Aderant and / or ActionStep is highly desirable.
