Community Social Visit Volunteer- Bring Joy to a Dog-Loving Senior Batemans Bay A Social Visits Volunteer who can make a meaningful difference - One visit at a time Are you someone who enjoys a good chat? How about a coffee and cake? We're looking for a kind-hearted dog loving volunteer to visit a thoughtful elderly gentleman who's feeling a bit lonely and his cute little pooch. Your time and company could make a world of difference. A friendly visit, a shared story, or a chat over a cuppa could truly lift his spirits. Your impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated. HammondCare HammondCare is a provider of the Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community. HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of people cared for by HammondCare. Category Seniors & Aged Care Commitment Regular - more than 6 months Type Of Work Companionship & Social Support, Seniors & Aged Care Time Required We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 5 pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability. Training Training is provided as well as ongoing support by a local Volunteer Coordinator. We offer an extensive online and face-to-face training program so you will be well equipped as a volunteer.
