What will you doCore Activities

Understand our clients - their needs and how to solve their problems.

Able to project manage projects technically and commercially.

Provide advice and solutions to our clients.

Maintain up to date market knowledge for yourself and the wider team.

Build and maintain a network of internal and external clients. Lead contract negotiations with clients to generate work for self and others.

Technical Activities

Provide technical direction supervision and reviews of flooding and drainage modelling and engineering assignments.

Develop local technical systems and standards.

Supervise and instruct junior staff in technical modelling assessment and design works as well as assist in professional development.

Checking and reviewing deliverables to ensure high quality.

Prepare commercial, technical, and financial proposals to undertake Flood and Stormwater Modelling and Design projects.

Business Development and Account Management

Develop new business for the Rivers and Water Management team and other parts of the Haskoning Australia business.

To manage and run a number of high profile client accounts in our key sectors.

You will be expected to maximize the market value from these clients through constant account management techniques.

What you bringHighly effective technical and practical scientific and engineering skills in the relevant disciplines. Have experience in and have recently completed Flood Impact Assessments (particularly using the TUFLOW software program), Drainage system analysis and design (DRAINS / MUSIC), input in these technical disciplines in larger multi-disciplinary projects. Provide direction and advice on technical matters, teach, mentors others in the team. Outward (market) looking. Takes ownership and demonstrates leadership. Able to consistently deliver quality, accurate, and timely work. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Confident and personable. Team Player. Independent thinker. Good organizational skills. Essential: Civil / Environmental Engineering Degree. Desirable: Postgraduate qualifications / specialization.
