Cleaner – Working Alone at Department of Education, Western Australia We currently have the following positions available, commencing Term 1, 2026: 1x – permanent part-time (0.5FTE) position/s 1x – permanent part-time (0.3FTE) position/s North Dandalup Primary School is situated at the base of the Darling Range, approximately 80km from Perth, north of the townsite in a unique natural setting with a population of 172 students spanning Kindergarten to Year 6. Established in 1900, it is an Independent Public School that preserves and respects its rich history while endeavouring to enrich the lives of its students. The Role The successful applicants will be organised, reliable, punctual, and have good knowledge of cleaning equipment and safe cleaning procedures, methods and practices in accordance with the Department’s procedures. As a Cleaner, you will carry out both internal and external cleaning duties. Internal cleaning: maintenance of carpets and hard floor surfaces, toilet cleaning, furniture and fittings, window cleaning and dusting. External duties: rubbish removal, cleaning of drinking troughs, external windows, verandas and covered areas, cobweb removal and other general cleaning. During vacation times: stripping and sealing of vinyl floors, window cleaning, shampooing of carpets, pressure cleaning of verandas and undercover areas. Report faults, maintenance issues and incidents to the designated supervisor while ensuring compliance with Department and occupational safety standards. Want to know more?
