Tamworth - Full Time Role - 76 hours per fortnight JOIN US - SHAPE LIVES - BUILD YOUR CAREER About the Role The Finance and Treasury Officer role sits at the heart of the Finance Department and supports a wide range of corporate finance functions that help the organisation deliver key community services. You will work across the full finance team and collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations. The position offers strong exposure to varied financial duties along with the chance to build depth and breadth in accounting and finance. Benefits Pay Rates from $38.65 - $41.45 (SCHAD’s Award Level 3, based on experience / qualifications) Salary packaging + meal / entertainment card (if eligible) Option to purchase extra annual leave (if eligible) Fitness Passport access for you & family (eligibility criteria applies) Ongoing training & professional development Annual flu vaccination Duties Input and analyse financial data across systems such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Banking, Budget Management, Project Management and Asset Management Undertake accounts payable and procurement functions Assist with billing and accounts receivable Support reconciliations, internal audits, cash flow monitoring and investments Help prepare workpapers, reconciliations and information for Annual Financial Statements and reporting Assist with budget reviews, reports, BAS preparation and fringe benefit requirements Support monthly financial reviews, end of month processing and payroll checks Contribute to annual budget development and maintenance Provide budget management support to Business Unit Managers Complete month end reporting tasks, including journals and ledger reviews Assist with preparation of year-end audit information Provide relief and backup within the Finance Department Participate in special projects and create ad-hoc reports Support staff learning in the use of financial systems and tools Skills and Experience Essential Experience in a similar financial role and / or qualifications in Finance, Business or Commerce Strong skills in financial accounting software, Microsoft Office and Excel Ability to work independently and in a team environment Clear communication and strong interpersonal skills Proven problem solving ability Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a calm and professional way High accuracy and strong attention to detail Willingness to learn and openness to new tasks Desirable Tertiary qualification in Finance, Business or Commerce Experience in a large corporate finance environment Experience with multi-functional finance and accounting systems About Us For over 65 years, Challenge Community Services has been empowering individuals and strengthening communities.
