This is a full-time role for right applicantp> About the Role The Developer Programmer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, integrating, and maintaining software solutions that support Kombee’s operational systems, digital platforms, and business applications. The role ensures that applications are built using industry-standard programming practices, secure coding principles, and efficient architecture. This position is essential for reducing reliance on external developers, managing code quality internally, improving system performance, and supporting technology-driven business expansion. Key Responsibilities Design and develop software applications using object-oriented programming languages such as Java, C++, and Python. Coordinate with DevOps teams for application deployment, environment configuration, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure management. Implement algorithms for data processing, optimization, encryption, compression, and system performance. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using recognized design patterns such as MVC, Singleton, Factory, and Observer. Conduct unit testing and integration testing using tools such as JUnit and TestNG to ensure application stability. Ensure data integrity and security using transactions, locking mechanisms, access control, and secure development methodologies. Perform root cause analysis for application failures, identify defects, implement fixes, and deploy patches as needed. Carry out routine software maintenance, upgrades, refactoring, and optimization to improve performance and scalability. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and management teams to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and provide technical guidance. Participate in code reviews, contribute to best practices, and support knowledge-sharing within the development team. Maintain and manage version control systems such as Git or SVN for code tracking, branching, merging, and release management. Develop systems integrations with third-party platforms, APIs, databases, and service tools used by the business. Assist in planning new digital projects, automation tasks, dashboards, and cloud-based development initiatives aligned with company growth. Qualifications and Experience Relevant qualifications in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent, OR substantial practical programming experience. Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in software development within a commercial environment. Strong programming capability in object-oriented languages and modern development frameworks. Experience with version control, testing tools, algorithms, and secure coding practices. Ability to analyze requirements, design solutions, troubleshoot issues, and deliver maintainable code. Good communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams. Position 1: Developer Programmer – Primary or Mandatory skills:- Languages: JCL, Cobol, VSAM, CICS- Database: DB2, PostgresSQL- Tools: Abend aid, File Aid, DFSORT, Endevor, QMF, Q-Test, Confluence, Open Search, Splunk, AppDynamics, Ultraedit, Putty, Jenkins, Plutora, and RALLY- Platforms: Servicenow, Control-M, Jira, Confluence, GitCloud - Harness, AWS(EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, VPC) Good to have skills:- AWS Core Services- DevOps- Java Detailed Job description:- Involves in Development projects involving Core Banking applications right from inception up until warranty by taking end to end ownership of the delivery.- Development or Enhancement of Mainframe and Middleware solution programs as per the requirements.- Analyse the requirements from projects and come up with testing scope and detailed test scenarios.- Code, Unit Testing and System Test deliverable reviews.- Integration test support, defect fixes and Production deployments.- Regular communication with the customer, stakeholders and vendor teams.- Identifying process improvement opportunities and automating them.- Good Knowledge on OPC and Control-M/AFT batch scheduling.- Good knowledge on Core and Retail Banking applications.- Track the project issues and defects through the usage of Rally, Confluence and QTEST.- Involves in managing deliverables required by project from production readiness point of view.- Supported migration of on-premise to AWS Cloud. Position 2: Developer Programmer – Primary or Mandatory skills:- Python, PySpark, Java- DBT- AWS- Tableau, Power BI- Databricks, Informatica, Azure, Airflow Good to have skills:- Data lake- Azure- Telecom Domain Knowledge Detailed Job description:- Minimum 4 years of experience in Enterprise Data Warehouse solutioning, Exposure of Databricks, Big Data technology stacks like Cloudera, HBase Analytics tools like Python, PySpark etc.- In depth knowledge of Teradata Utilities, Macros.- Strong SQL analytical skills.- Experience in Databricks and DBT.- Knowledge in Power BI.- Good to have knowledge in Airflow scheduling.- Involve in Business requirement gatherings, Analysis of requirements, Design, solution walkthrough, Workshops & Identify gap’s in solution & Business requirement with Business & IT team.- Basic knowledge in Spark leveraging Scala or Python and Optimize the performance of the built Spark applications in Big data Platform.- Strong analytical mindset and ability to work independently and in fast-paced and quickly changing environment.- Work and continuously improve the DevOps pipeline and tooling to provide active management of the continuous integration/continuous deployment processes.- Good to have experience in any ETL tools.- Experience working in an Agile delivery model.- Preparing Test Strategy, Test Plan, reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of Data ware housing Applications.
