Your new opportunity Are you a creative professional with a passion for delivering high‑quality creative design and multimedia solutions? Join Queensland Treasury's Strategic Communications branch and play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity of Queensland Government initiatives. As part of a dynamic and collaborative team, you'll contribute to delivering strategic communication projects that support Queensland Treasury's objectives and the government's priorities. In this role, you will: Design and produce a wide range of print and digital materials including documents, flyers, advertisements, presentations, newsletters, banners, large‑scale prints (exhibition displays), videos, animations, social and web ensuring compliance with Queensland Government Accessibility Guidelines. Provide expert technical advice and creative design strategies to achieve business objectives. Support high‑priority, deadline‑driven activities, including the State Budget, Mid‑Year Fiscal and Economic Review (MYFER), crisis communication responses and other Queensland Treasury related priority projects. Offer guidance on corporate identity standards and Queensland Government Corporate Identity Guidelines. Liaise with external design suppliers, ensuring cost‑effectiveness and quality outcomes. Manage the department's image library and maintain quality control of visual assets. Contribute to fostering a positive work culture and a collaborative ‘one‑team' approach. What experience you will bring: High quality professional design style and skillset. Proven organisational abilities to design and produce diverse communication materials in print and electronic formats within a fast‑paced environment. Strong experience and advanced proficiency in graphic design and multimedia applications to develop creative solutions for communication and marketing needs. Demonstrated ability to provide timely, strategic, and innovative design advice to management, team members, and other departmental staff. Experience at interpreting complex communication briefs and design materials and guiding projects from initial concept to final deliverables. Excellent interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals and groups across various disciplines and levels. There are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role; however, relevant qualifications are highly regarded. You will need to be highly competent in the use of the Adobe Creative Cloud/Suite including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Premiere Pro, After Effects and also Microsoft applications (particularly PowerPoint and Word).
