Bridging sales, delivery, and product, smartShift Solution Architects define optimized solutions and proposals for customers. If you have the technical capabilities, love solving complex problems, enjoy direct engagement with customers, seek to learn new things, and want to make an impact, there's no better place to be.ResponsibilitiesPresent and promote smartShift capabilities to prospective customers, including demonstrating smartShift automationDuring pre-sales, align solution capabilities to customer needs and, in collaboration with account executives, drive proposal development with detailed level technical and product expertiseVisit clients in support of SalesAuthor white papers, present at conferences, and be a technology/solution evangelist for smartShiftDevelop solution plans, cost & margin estimates, and pricing recommendationsIncorporate lessons from customer and internal feedback and drive ongoing improvements to smartShift solutions. Provide feature and capabilities requirement inputs to smartShift product developmentContinuously learn and advance an understanding of SAP strategy and approaches for custom application development, management of custom code, ABAP, conversion/upgrade methods, and modern SAP frameworks, especially Clean Core. Coach other smartShift colleagues on the benefits and capabilities of smartShift automationSkills and ExperienceMandatory skills7+ years’ experience with SAP, with a background in ABAP custom development4+ years’ experience direct customer-facing experience in a delivery, product, or pre-sales capacityResults driven: confident, thrives on hard work and consistent challenge, and is quick on her/his feet. Can-do attitudeExcellent conceptual as well as written and verbal communications skills – Business EnglishExperience responding to RFPs, writing quotes, developing SOWs, and reviewing/negotiating contract termsExperience with planning and estimation - formal PMO certification or training a plusPassionate about learning new things, solving problems, and sharing knowledge gained, a natural teacherFamiliarity with all aspects of SAP ABAP custom object types, common development and upgrade challengesExperience on multiple SAP project lifecyclesExperience with SAP upgrades and migrations, especially HANA and S/4HANAUnsatisfied with doing things via the status quo and always looking for more efficiency and automation, a DevOps mindsetIf you are passionate about building the technology world, be smart and join us at smartShift
