Location Cnr Memorial Drive & Endeavour Boulevard, North Lakes, QLD, 4509, Australia Description The role To strategically manage the Home Claims and Assessing portfolio of contractual agreements and supplier relationships, ensuring legal and commercial integrity, optimising performance, mitigating risks, and fostering collaborative partnerships that deliver on business objectives and drive continuous value. This position works closely with the Home Claims & Assessing teams, Legal, Risk and IT departments to ensure that the panel of providers meets all the business’s financial, service, operational and regulatory requirements. Position Accountabilities Contract Management Manage the full contract lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating vendor, supplier, and service agreements to secure favourable terms. Ensure all contracts comply with legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirements, collaborating closely with Legal and Risk teams. Analyse contract terms to identify risks, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement. Oversee contract performance and compliance, resolving any disputes that arise. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and executives to define contract requirements, scope, KPIs, and ensure provider solutions meet business objectives. Contribute to the development and execution of procurement strategies. Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices, applying commercial best practices to all negotiations. Relationship Management Monitor, analyse, and interpret supplier performance data to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement. Lead regular supplier performance reviews, presenting data, facilitating discussions, and developing collaborative action plans for continuous improvement. Establish and maintain robust reporting mechanisms for transparent visibility of supplier performance against contractual obligations, SLAs, and business objectives. Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure adherence to contractual terms, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Identify and foster opportunities for supplier development and innovation to enhance service delivery, drive efficiencies, and explore new solutions. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful service delivery. Other duties as reasonably directed. Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 5 years' experience in a dedicated Contracts Specialist, Contract Manager, or similar commercial role with a strong focus on contract lifecycle management and supplier relationship management. Demonstrated expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, administration, and compliance across various contract types. Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to interpret complex performance data (e.g., from BI tools like PowerBI) to drive insights, identify trends, and inform strategic decisions. Experience in conducting supplier audits, performance reviews, and quality assessments to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement. Experience in preparing comprehensive contractual documentation, business cases, and reports. Proficiency in using contract management software or systems (desirable). Sound understanding of the general insurance sector (desirable). Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Proven ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Certificate IV or Diploma in Procurement and Contracting, or Contract Management. (Highly regarded but not essential) Tertiary qualifications in Law, Business, Commerce, or a related discipline.
