UX/UI DESIGNER AT GAPMAPS A unique opportunity with global impact has become available for a UX/UI Designer to join the Technology and Data team at GapMaps. As the UX/UI Designer you will support the creation of intuitive, scalable and visually engaging experiences across out SaaS platform. This role collaborates closely with senior designers, developers, and product managers to transform complex data and workflows into clear, usable, and aesthetically consistent interfaces that reflect GapMaps’ brand standards. THE ROLE Proven experience designing for SaaS products, with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant UI/UX projects Hands‑on experience using, maintaining, and scaling design systems for SaaS products Strong grasp of layout, typography, colour, and visual hierarchy Ability to turn ambiguity into clear, actionable design solutions A bias for simplicity and speed - you know when to ship fast and when to polish Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and iterate quickly based on feedback Collaborate across teams: work closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to align on goals and deliver WHAT YOU’LL LOVE ABOUT THE ROLE Make a real impact by designing intuitive experiences used by businesses across the globe Work across a wide range of industries, turning complex data into simple, elegant design solutions Collaborate with a passionate and talented team who love what they do and celebrate success together Gain exposure to the latest tools, trends, and technologies in UX/UI and data visualisation Contribute to a product that helps clients make smarter, data‑driven decisions every day Join a smart, passionate team that thrives on achieving outcomes together YOU WILL HAVE Bachelor’s degree in Design, Information Technology, or a related field 2–5 years of professional UX/UI design experience in SaaS or digital products A background in designing for SaaS or GIS‑driven digital products Ability to create cohesive iconography, motion elements, and refined digital illustrations Strong visual design skills with exceptional attention to detail Comfort with ambiguity and the confidence to use iterative design experiments to guide and validate decisions YOU ARE AN EXCEPTIONAL CANDIDATE FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU Are motivated and use a proactive approach to understand clients’ needs Have impeccable relationship building skills and experience working with high‑touch individuals Communicate confidently and effectively, both written and verbally, with internal and external stakeholders, and at all levels Are passionate about learning and enjoy a fast‑paced environment where one day is never the same Can demonstrate autonomous problem‑solving skills and the ability to multi‑task and not be one‑dimensional Work collaboratively, have a flexible attitude and thrive in working independently READY TO JOIN US?
