About the Team The Analytics team is looking for an experienced Data Scientist to serve as the Analytics leader in Australia, working cross‑functionally with the local Strategy & Operations team as well as the central Analytics org to drive data‑informed decisions and impact. About the Role Data is at the heart of every decision we make at DoorDash, and we are looking for an individual to serve as the analytics leader for our Australia executive team as it relates to data‑driven decision making and problem solving. We solve a wide range of challenges across our marketplace – from customer acquisition and balancing supply and demand to fraud, support, marketing, and marketplace efficiency. If you enjoy taking a data‑driven hypothesis to an impactful outcome, there are many opportunities to do so in this role. Key Expectations Deeply passionate and curious about both business and analytics / data science with a mindset to proactively identify problems and solve them Bias for action; comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get the job done Effective at navigating within a larger analytics organization and acting as the connective tissue between Australia and the rest of our business Collaboration‑first and enjoys working on problems as a cross‑functional team Qualifications A degree in Math, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Business, or a similar domain 9+ years of experience in Data Science and Analytics, primarily in related industries Technical ability in SQL / Python to own a solution end to end Business intuition and problem‑solving skill set to manage the complexity of our 3‑sided marketplace Excellent communication skills, capable of taking complex topics and distilling them down for non‑technical stakeholders to drive buy‑in Demonstrated ability to create impact with analysis and prioritize effectively between 80/20 solutions and more nuanced approaches About DoorDash At DoorDash, our mission to empower local economies shapes how our team members move quickly, learn, and iterate to make impactful decisions that display empathy for our range of users—from Dashers to merchant partners to consumers.
