Grade 2 Multidisciplinary Allied Health Assistant – Acute Inpatient (Rotational) Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery, improvement, research and education. We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, from ambulatory to inpatient and home and community‑based services. Fixed Term, Full‑time position until December 2026 (80 Hours per fortnight + ADO) Rotational role through acute inpatient wards Alfred Health location The Role The Allied Health Assistant works closely with the multidisciplinary allied health team to provide a flexible and responsive service that meets each patient’s identified therapeutic and discharge goals. The position is responsible for implementing individual interventions and/or therapy programmes, as delegated by the treating therapists. The AHA will work as part of the multidisciplinary team to provide services that may include sourcing practical advice and supporting patients and families to complete applications for services and benefits. The AHA will also be responsible for administrative and clinical support functions, which assist with patient management and contribute to the effectiveness and efficiency of the ward. It is a condition of employment that individuals may be required to work across all Alfred Health sites and services, including weekend and public holiday shifts as rostered. Experience And Qualifications Required Completion of Certificate IV (Allied Health Assistance) from a registered training organisation, or Recognised equivalent qualification (as determined by the line manager), or Higher qualification in a relevant health science discipline at Diploma or Associate Diploma level, or Certificate level qualification in a relevant health‑related field, or Overseas‑trained Allied Health practitioner with a qualification at Diploma level or higher, or Allied Health undergraduate student (in a relevant health science discipline) having successfully completed at least 1 year Staff Benefits Salary packaging & novated leasing through Maxxia Flexible health insurance coverage through HCF Health Insurance Onsite car & bike parking opportunities, deducted pre‑tax (subject to availability) Onsite fitness facilities at The Alfred through ProSport Health & Fitness Childcare services at The Alfred managed by KU Children’s Services In line with current Victorian DHS requirements Mask fit testing Flu vaccination This is a permanent role for a Monday to Friday position.
