Queanbeyan, New South Wales Traineeship – Full-time – 35 hours per week 874.13 - 1,285.76 gross per week + 12% super (Evaluated as Trainee Grade 4 – 10 of the QPRC Salary System 2025), plus potential performance-based progression. Description Are you passionate about the environment and sustainability and looking to play a major role in protecting Queanbeyan-Palerang’s natural landscapes? This traineeship is a great opportunity to kickstart your career in biosecurity management, whilst completing a free Cert III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management. In This Role You Will Play a key role in preserving Queanbeyan-Palerang’s natural landscapes and preventing adverse effects to the environment, economy and our community through effective biosecurity weed control and management. Learn how to prevent, minimise and manage biosecurity risks across the Queanbeyan-Palerang region through the development, implementation, reporting and review of weed control programs. Carry out biosecurity weed survey and control, conduct geographical satellite mapping, weed education, inspection and enforcement, weed planning and reporting, and carry out strategic projects aimed at preserving our natural landscapes. We Are Looking For Someone Who Can satisfy successful enrolment (or currently completing) enrolment into a Cert III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management through a registered RTO. Demonstrate strong customer service skills, effective time management capability, and communication skills, both written and oral.
