Tractor and Feed Mixer Driver (Ag Industry) - Full Time (Immediate Start) Our client is a large and progressive lamb and cattle finishing enterprise with multiple farming operations across the Central West of NSW. Due to their rapid growth across the region, they are now seeking the services of a full-time experienced Tractor and Feed Mix Driver based at the Forbes farming operations. The Tractor and Feed Mix Driver is responsible for preparing and delivering daily livestock feed, operating and maintaining machinery and equipment, and assisting with a range of general farming activities across the property. The role requires practical experience in tractor and machinery operation, strong attention to detail, and a hands‑on approach to animal welfare and property maintenance. Key Duties and Responsibilities Feed Preparation and Delivery Operate tractors, loaders, and feed‑mix wagons to prepare and deliver accurate daily rations. Follow feeding programs and mix orders to ensure ration consistency and animal performance. Check and record feed quantities, bunk levels, and livestock intake. Deliver feed safely and efficiently to all pens or paddocks as scheduled. Monitor animals during feeding for signs of health or welfare concerns. Machinery Operation and Maintenance Safely operate tractors, loaders, augers, and other farm machinery as required. Conduct daily pre‑start checks and routine maintenance (greasing, oil levels, tyre pressures). Assist with machinery servicing and basic repairs under direction. Maintain clean and organised machinery, feed areas, and workshops. General Farming Duties Assist with fencing repairs, gate maintenance, and general farm infrastructure upkeep. Operate equipment for slashing, grading laneways, cleaning troughs, or manure spreading. Help with water system checks and repairs (tanks, troughs, pumps, and lines). Support livestock operations, including mustering, drafting, yard work, and animal handling when required. Assist with pasture management and irrigation tasks (e.g. moving sprinklers, weed control). Participate in general farm cleaning, tidiness, and safety activities. Animal Welfare and Biosecurity Handle livestock calmly and in accordance with low‑stress stock handling principles. Adhere to all farm biosecurity, hygiene, and safety protocols. Record Keeping and Communication Record feed mixes, deliveries, fuel usage, and maintenance tasks. Communicate with managers and team members about ration changes, maintenance issues, or livestock observations. Participate in daily team briefings and contribute to a positive and safe work environment. Skills and Attributes Proven experience in tractor, loader, and feed‑mixing operations. Sound mechanical aptitude and willingness to maintain equipment. Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently. Strong attention to detail and animal welfare awareness. Reliable, punctual, and safety‑conscious work ethic. Licences and Requirements Machinery operation experience is essential. Livestock handling experience preferred.
