About The Role and Responsibilities We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Beauty Therapist to join our dynamic team. The role involves providing a wide range of beauty treatments and professional advice to clients, including skincare, body care, and cosmetic services. Key responsibilities include performing facials, waxing, massages, manicures, pedicures, and other beauty treatments; analysing skin conditions and recommending appropriate skincare products; applying makeup and advising clients on beauty routines; maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment; sanitising tools and equipment; and managing client appointments and payments. The position may also include assisting with product sales and maintaining treatment records. Tasks Include : Consult with clients to understand their beauty goals, assess skin characteristics, and recommend suitable skincare routines, treatments, and makeup applications. Apply general, corrective, and special-occasion makeup to enhance clients’ appearance and confidence. Perform professional manicures and pedicures, including decorative nail art, application of artificial nails, nail repair, and other specialised hand and foot care treatments. Deliver facial and body treatments, including exfoliation, cleansing, and massage, to promote relaxation and improve skin health. Provide hair removal services through waxing, bleaching, tinting, depilation, and electrolysis, ensuring safety and hygiene standards are met. Evaluate and recommend beauty therapy processes, techniques, and products to achieve optimal client results and satisfaction. Manage client appointments, including receiving bookings, arranging schedules, and maintaining detailed and confidential client records. Offer professional advice on and promote cosmetic and skincare products to support clients’ ongoing beauty and wellness routines. Qualifications, experience and other requirements for Beauty Therapist A relevant AQF Certificate II or III in Beauty Services (ANZSCO Skill Level 4), or in lieu of formal qualifications, at least one year of relevant full-time experience may be accepted. A minimum of one year’s full-time experience as a Beauty Therapist. Ability to provide personalised home care and product advice to support clients’ ongoing skin, body, and beauty maintenance. Commitment to staying up to date with modern beauty techniques, products, and industry trends. Strong client service and interpersonal skills, with a professional, friendly, and well-groomed presentation. Proven ability to build and maintain positive and trusting client relationships.
