Join to apply for the Psychologist - Grade 2 role at Western Health 5 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants Location: Sunshine Hospital Employment Type: Part-Time (34.2 hours/week), Ongoing Salary: Grade 2 + Superannuation + Salary Packaging About The Role An opportunity currently exists for a Grade 2 Clinical Psychologist/Health Psychologist to work on an ongoing, part-time basis within the Psychology at Home Service (0.9 FTE/68.4 hours per fortnight). Generally registered psychologists enrolled in an AoPE Registrar Program for Clinical Psychology are also encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities The Psychologist will form part of a broader multidisciplinary team providing Best Care for the community of the West. In this role, you will collaborate with other psychologists which includes Health Psychology, Neuropsychology and Clinical Psychology and play a key clinical role in providing psychological assessment, individual and group interventions, and psychoeducation, and work alongside a team of passionate and highly skilled psychologists at Western Health. You will contribute by assessing the client's needs, identifying, and mitigating psychological barriers to goal attainment, utilising a range of modalities and techniques. You will receive regular supervision, support from the whole team and have access to a range of professional development activities. Depending on your experience, support of provisional psychologists on fieldwork placement, and Psychology Registrars will also be required. Commitment to a Psychology Service that promotes an evidence-based, best practice culture, and supports continuous service improvement. Can think quickly and broadly whilst triaging new referrals. Use the full spectrum of your psychological training and expertise to assess clients’ psychological needs. Consult with the treating team and relevant other parties effectively and regularly. Contribute personally to the team culture. Contribute flexibly, creatively, and enthusiastically to initiatives for ongoing improvement; and Bring a sense of calm and stability whilst working with clients with complex health conditions within diverse and dynamic clinical settings.
