Psychologist Grade 2b/Grade 3 – Eating Disorders, Adolescent Medicine This is a part‑time, fixed‑term 0.2 EFT position (15.2 hours per fortnight) within the Eating Disorders Program at the Department of Adolescent Medicine, Royal Children’s Hospital. About the Role Provide evidence‑based clinical care to adolescents with restrictive eating disorders (anorexia nervosa, atypical anorexia, avoidant restrictive food intake disorder) through psychological and family assessments and interventions in the outpatient and inpatient Eating Disorder Clinic. Maintain clinical documentation, record client contacts and outcome measures, and collaborate with other clinical disciplines and external services to deliver high‑quality interdisciplinary care. Classification ranges from PK1 – PL3 ($94,478.80 – $123,905.60 pro‑rata) depending on years of training. Primary Responsibilities Engage patients and families in mental health care in line with the Eating Disorders Service model. Maintain clinical documentation, records and data per discipline‑specific guidelines and RCH procedures. Complete mandatory client contacts, outcome measures and report activity levels to support team KPI obligations. Collaborate with other clinical disciplines and external services to provide high‑quality inter‑disciplinary care. For Grade 3: manage a complex clinical caseload, provide clinical supervision and consultation to staff and students, and give constructive developmental feedback to the team. Your Skills and Experience Grade 2 Applicants Minimum Master of Psychology degree from an APAC accredited course or university. General registration with AHPRA and the Psychology Board of Australia as a Psychologist. Endorsed, or working toward endorsement with the PBA in a relevant field (Clinical, Health). Demonstrated clinical skills and experience in child and/or adolescent mental health. Post‑graduate qualification in a child and adolescent mental health field – desirable. Experience in evidence‑based treatment for adolescent restrictive eating disorders (e.g., FBT, AFT, CBT) – desirable. Grade 3 Applicants Minimum Master of Psychology degree from an APAC accredited course or university. General registration with AHPRA and the Psychology Board of Australia as a Psychologist. At least 5 years of experience post‑general registration as a Psychologist. Endorsement with the PBA in Clinical or Health practice. Board‑approved supervisor status, including Registrar Program Principal Supervisor designation. Compliance with ongoing PBA continuing professional development standards. Demonstrated clinical skills and experience in restrictive eating disorders and child or adolescent mental health. Other Requirements Current National Criminal Record Check, or willingness to obtain.
