Every day, our Clown Doctors and Laughter Care Specialists bring joy, warmth and moments of relief to people in hospitals and aged care – transforming environments that can often feel frightening or isolating. Last year alone, their programmes supported over 300,000 people nationwide. As Community Fundraising Manager, you’ll sit at the strategic heart of the fundraising programme – designing, delivering and driving initiatives that build long‑term, sustainable support across the country. This role shapes the future of community engagement for CDA: creating vibrant national moments of giving, developing a volunteer and ambassador framework, and strengthening pipelines that fuel the mission to bring laughter where it’s needed most. In this pivotal role, you will: Lead the development and execution of strategic community fundraising plans, aligned with CDA’s five‑year organisational strategy Design, launch and manage CDA’s first national fundraising day, bringing creativity, structure and impact to a major new moment in our calendar Develop a volunteer and ambassador programme that inspires, empowers and amplifies community involvement Use community insight and performance data to inform decision‑making, forecast growth and refine strategic direction Build strong relationships with supporters, volunteers, schools, service clubs, local groups and community partners Ensure community fundraising activity aligns with supporter journeys, brand values and organisational priorities Represent CDA at events and work collaboratively across teams – bringing imagination, clarity and structure to community‑focused initiatives Contribute subject‑matter expertise to organisational planning and fundraising discussions About You You’re a strategic community fundraising professional who thrives on turning ideas into action. With a strong background in delivering and shaping community fundraising programmes, you’re confident moving between big‑picture planning and hands‑on execution. You understand how to engage communities in meaningful ways – and how to build momentum toward scalable, sustainable support. You bring creativity, emotional intelligence and a relationship‑first mindset, with the maturity to influence at all levels and the drive to build something lasting.
