About the Role We're looking for a passionate, hands‑on volunteer gardener to help keep our beautiful Cottage grounds thriving. The gardens at WA Mums Cottage are an important part of the welcoming, healing environment we offer to women and families – they're a place of calm, colour, and connection. You'll take pride in maintaining the outdoor areas, nurturing plants, and keeping the Cottage looking its best for visitors, volunteers, and the community. Key Responsibilities Weekly general yard tidy Weeding and garden maintenance Mowing and whipper‑snipping the lawns Keeping weeds under control around paths and fences Sourcing and caring for plants to sell or display You'll bring A love of gardening and working outdoors Reliability and self‑motivation A friendly, community‑minded attitude Basic gardening and maintenance skills (equipment provided) Why Volunteer with Us? Category Community Services Commitment Regular – more than 6 months Type of Work Garden Maintenance Time Required The Cottage is open to the public Monday to Friday, 10am–2.30pm.
