Easy Care Gardening is a not‑for‑profit organisation funded by the Federal Government to provide an aged‑care service. We look after the gardens of older people across four local government areas in the northern part of greater Sydney. Most of our gardening is delivered by caring volunteers. We are always looking for more volunteers to help us care for more gardens. Volunteer Responsibilities Work in a friendly team and participate in social events throughout the year. Use the tools and training provided by Easy Care Gardening. Follow the arrangements made with clients: simply turn up at a garden ready to work. Garden shifts are three hours each. Gardens are available 5½ days per week; you can choose when and how often you garden. We are very flexible and can fit volunteering around your other commitments. Enjoy morning and afternoon tea sessions that give volunteers and clients a chance to get to know each other. Commitment & Schedule We ask for a minimum commitment of 30 hours of gardening over the next six months. Gardens are available 5½ days per week: morning gardens from 9 am to 12 pm and afternoon gardens from 1 pm to 4 pm. Training & Requirements On‑the‑job training is provided. All staff and volunteers are required to have a clear police check, which we can arrange at our expense. You will need to fill out a few forms; we can help you with that either in person or online. About Easy Care Gardening Easy Care Gardening has been operating for 35 years and has built a reputation for delivering a friendly service.
