Job Type: Permanent position | Full time position Job Description About the Company KBSS is a leading mechanical service provider to the Energy, Construction and Mining industries, with an outstanding reputation for delivering safe, reliable and cost-effective project outcomes across the resource sector. The Job Role KBSS is currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters with for project located in Pilbara (Barrow Island). This position is FIFO (Fly-In Fly-Out). Key Responsibilities Study drawings or job specifications to determine the method and sequence of operations. Routine inspection, checking and testing of components on various plant and equipment using measuring instruments to ensure operational standard is being met. Undertake maintenance, repairs or replacements on defective components. Dismantling, assembling, fitting and testing of metal and non-metal components onto equipment using the appropriate tooling and method to ensure accuracy of fit Lift and hoist components on to working surface, lay out and mark reference points, and check alignment of parts and components using measuring instruments Drill holes, tap threads for bolting parts together and assemble parts and sub-assemblies Cut, thread, bend and install hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines Mark out stock to be shaped and formed into metal parts Shrink-fit parts during assembly using the appropriate workshop tools and equipment Erect machinery and equipment on-site Any other duties as required to complete the project assigned Qualifications & Skills Cert III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (or equivalent Australian recognized certificate) Flange Management (preferred) Valid confined spaces Entry (and Working at Heights Certifications) (or ability to obtain) Valid High Risk Work License (or ability to obtain) White Card (or ability to obtain) Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical Desirable Experience in industries such as oil & gas, mining or construction If this sounds like a position for you, please click Apply and provide your most recent resume. #J-18808-Ljbffr
