Job Overview FLSmidth, Welshpool, Western Australia, Australia – Mechanical Fitters We are currently looking to engage qualified Fitters to join our site service team. Our service roles are designed to provide mechanical service and support to our OEM Equipment during planned shut‑down days. This will include inspections, testing and analysis of the performance of the equipment; planned and unplanned maintenance, repairs and workshop rebuilds. It is essential that all work is carried out safely and in accordance with company and site requirements and will require the completion of a range of documentation. Responsibilities Provide mechanical service and support to OEM equipment during planned shut‑down days. Conduct inspections, testing and performance analysis. Perform planned and unplanned maintenance, repairs and workshop rebuilds. Document work in accordance with company and site requirements. Qualifications Trade qualified Demonstrated commitment to safety and customer service orientation Proactive attitude with the ability to build and develop relationships with a range of people Strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team Current driver’s licence Able to work 12‑hour shifts Proactive in your approach to safety first Experienced working on mine sites with fixed plant equipment Flexible with work hours and locations – FIFO work supported About Us FLSmidth is the leading supplier of engineering, equipment and service solutions to customers in the mining industry.
