The site also features: The site runs a large underground hard rock mine with a well-equipped maintenance workshop and top-tier facilities. Modern ensuite rooms with full meals provided Social and supportive camp life with regular BBQs and crew events Telstra mobile coverage and Wi-Fi across camp The Role & Duties As a heavy diesel fitter you will be working alongside a team of experienced trades maintaining a range of modern mining and support equipment. With your key duties including: Servicing, diagnostics, and repairs across heavy mobile plant and mining gear Attending breakdowns and carrying out preventative maintenance Component change-outs and fault-finding on mechanical and some hydraulic systems Working initially from the surface workshop before progressing underground once trained and signed off Exposure to a wide range of OEM equipment including Sandvik, CAT, Normet, and Elphinstone Travel & Roster You will get to enjoy a roster and travel structure that is balanced, easy and flexible: FIFO from major QLD locations – Brisbane, Townsville and Cairns with flights provided Short bus transfer from the airport to site 8:6 or 7:7 roster across days and nights Full camp accommodation and meals provided Your Skills & Experience We are seeking an experienced heavy diesel fitter / mechanic who has the following: Experience on heavy equipment is essential such as earthmoving, agricultural. Open cut / underground mining experience is highly regarded Excellent safety focus and ability to work as part of a team Ability to pass a full pre-employment medical & police clearance What’s next?
