Base Pay Range A$150,000.00/yr - A$170,000.00/yr Partner, Interim & Contracting at Peoplecorp HR Recruitment Specialists THE COMPANY Peoplecorp is partnering with a large, fast-growing organisation within the entertainment and hospitality sector to recruit an experienced Payroll Manager. Operating 24/7 across multiple venues and hotels, this is a highly complex, matrixed business that has grown from 6,000 to over 10,000 employees in the past 4–5 years with no signs of slowing down. THE ROLE Reporting into The Head of People Operations, you will lead a high-performing payroll function responsible for end-to-end payroll across a large and diverse workforce. This is a hands‑on leadership role in a business where payroll is critical, visible, and constantly evolving. This role will oversee the delivery of payroll across ANZ. Key responsibilities include: Managing the end-to-end payroll function for a large, multi-entity workforce Leading and developing a team, with a strong focus on mentoring junior team members Overseeing payroll tax, superannuation, and compliance requirements Supporting and embedding the Dayforce payroll system Managing audits across joint ventures and managed properties Working closely with a broad range of stakeholders in a complex, matrix environment Lead the operational aspects of the payroll delivery model changes THE CRITERIA You will have proven experience managing payroll in a large, complex organisation coupled with strong technical knowledge across end-to-end payroll. You will have experience working with Dayforce (highly regarded) or similar enterprise payroll systems. You must be a competent leader with a collaborative leadership style with a passion for coaching and team development. Other essentials for the role include the resilience and adaptability to operate in a 24/7 business with competing priorities and confidence working with multiple stakeholders across a matrixed organisation.
