AFC WOMEN’S ASIAN CUP 2026 LOC OFFICE The Kick-off Story The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has awarded Football Australia hosting rights for the 2026 edition of the AFC Women's Asian Cup™. This marks Australia's second time hosting the event, after previously staging it in 2006, and follows the success of co-hosting the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup™. You will be part of a Local Organising Committee (LOC), which has been established for the sole purpose of delivering the 2026 edition of the AFC Women's Asian Cup™ in Australia. This prestigious event will bring together 12 nations in a tournament structured into three groups of four. We are eager to create another tournament that celebrates women's football and multicultural Australia and also delivers legacy outcomes for football and Australian society more broadly. If you need assistance in applying for this role, please reach out to our People team. Your Next Big Match Please note that this role is fixed term from January until March 2026. Groups Travel Management Coordinate travel and accommodation logistics with the Travel Management Company, hotels, and suppliers. Manage hotel requirements such as rooming lists, laundry, and meeting facilities. Support visa processes by liaising with government departments. Event Operations Oversee arrivals, airport logistics, and protocol coordination with AFC, security, and government partners. Supervise volunteers and ensure accurate delegate and travel data management. Record and elevate operational issues while maintaining detailed activity logs. Budget and Financial Management Track and reconcile travel and accommodation expenses in the host city. Collaborate with Protocol, Guest Management, and Team Services to monitor costs. Maintain accurate financial records during event operations. Post-Event Wrap-up and Evaluation Conduct post-event evaluations and compile feedback. Contribute to reports outlining successes, challenges, and recommendations. Support continuous improvement for future tournaments. What Gets You in the Game? Experience in travel or accommodation coordination for major events or international teams, ideally with group or corporate bookings. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, able to handle challenging situations calmly and collaboratively. Proven ability to manage suppliers, contractors, and multiple stakeholders effectively. Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and adaptability in fast-paced, changing environments. Demonstrated professionalism, confidentiality, and ability to work independently under pressure.
