Host City Travel & Accommodation Coordinator Join to apply for the Host City Travel & Accommodation Coordinator role at Local Organising Committee AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 Pty Ltd . The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has awarded Football Australia hosting rights for the 2026 edition of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup™. This marks Australia’s second time hosting the event, following the 2006 tournament and the successful co‑hosting of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup™. As part of the Local Organising Committee (LOC), you will help deliver this prestigious 12‑nation tournament, celebrating women’s football and multicultural Australia while creating legacy outcomes for football and the broader community. Groups Travel Management Coordinate travel and accommodation logistics with the Travel Management Company, hotels, and suppliers. Manage hotel requirements such as rooming lists, laundry, and meeting facilities. Support visa processes by liaising with government departments. Event Operations Oversee arrivals, airport logistics, and protocol coordination with AFC, security, and government partners. Supervise volunteers and ensure accurate delegate and travel data management. Record and escalate operational issues while maintaining detailed activity logs. Budget and Financial Management Track and reconcile travel and accommodation expenses in the host city. Collaborate with Protocol, Guest Management, and Team Services to monitor costs. Maintain accurate financial records during event operations. Post-Event Wrap-Up and Evaluation Conduct post‑event evaluations and compile feedback. Contribute to reports outlining successes, challenges, and recommendations. Support continuous improvement for future tournaments. Experience in travel or accommodation coordination for major events or international teams, ideally with group or corporate bookings. Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving skills, able to handle challenging situations calmly and collaboratively. Proven ability to manage suppliers, contractors, and multiple stakeholders effectively. Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and adaptability in fast‑paced, changing environments. Demonstrated professionalism, confidentiality, and ability to work independently under pressure. Offside Conditions Full working rights in Australia (please note that due to the fixed‑term nature of the tournament, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this position). Working with children check (paid/employee) or state‑based equivalent. International Criminal History Record for each country (other than Australia) in which you have resided for 12 months or more in the last 10 years (if applicable).
