Specialist Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon Fractional/Fixed Term – 7hpfn from 02 February 2026 – 01 February 2027 Unit Description The Royal Melbourne Hospital Vascular Surgery Unit is Victoria’s founding vascular surgery service. We are a quaternary-level university teaching hospital, and we manage the full range of vascular surgery conditions, excepting cosmetic venous procedures. We manage planned, urgent and emergency vascular presentations. Royal Melbourne Hospital is a designated level 1 adult trauma service. We provide clinical support to the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, the Royal Women’s Hospital and the Royal Children’s Hospital. We are a collaborative and supportive team, and have a modern hybrid operating suite facility, enabling advanced and comprehensive open and endovascular treatment. About The Role 7 HPF average, comprising 1 full-day operating session per 4 weeks, plus fortnightly unit multidisciplinary meeting and outpatient clinic. On-call commitment of 1-2 nights per fortnight and one weekend (Friday 7PM to Monday 7AM) per 6 weeks. About You General and Specialist Registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) MBBS or equivalent tertiary qualifications Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Vascular Surgery, or expectation for completion of Fellowship by position commencement Membership of the Australian and New Zealand Society for Vascular Surgery, or eligibility for membership on completion of Fellowship Commitment to audit and peer review and holding a current AVA Participation Certificate.
