Help students thrive at school - Lockridge (Kiara College) Volunteering with EdConnect Australia is very rewarding. EdConnect Australia’s volunteers help students throughout the school year in a myriad of different ways. Volunteers of all ages and from all walks of life bring new skills, stories, and faces into the lives of students within the school environment, enriching their lives and often providing stability and a trusted confidant where it may be lacking in a young person’s life. EdConnect provides the framework to match volunteers with young people in schools who need extra help and guidance to enhance their academic and social achievement. EdConnect’s training will help prepare you for your volunteer role. The team is here to help make sure your volunteering is rewarding, impactful and memorable. Throughout the year, EdConnect’s initiatives offer various events, from local coffee catchups, online refresher training and workshops to more formal functions – all great ways to cross paths with like‑minded people, changing lives together. Category Education & Training Commitment Regular – more than 6 months Type of Work Companionship & Social Support Education & Training Tutoring & Coaching Time Required Minimum 1 hour per week on a day and time that suits you and the school for 6+ months.
