Social Planning & Community Strengthening Officer A local council is seeking a confident and community-minded professional to support key initiatives focused on resident wellbeing, inclusion and cost-of-living pressures. In this role, you'll draw on your community development experience to engage diverse stakeholders, manage projects, and support important social-impact work across the municipality. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate initiatives related to cost-of-living challenges, including homelessness and food relief. Plan and deliver events recognising important dates such as Pride, IDAHOBIT and Law Week. Build collaborative relationships with local service providers to strengthen community linkages. Provide research and data analysis to support health and wellbeing priorities. Work confidently within local government frameworks, ensuring activities stay within scope and legislative responsibilities. About You Strong background in community development. Excellent stakeholder‑engagement skills. Ability to navigate complex social issues with professionalism and sound judgement. Comfortable working in fast‑paced, multi‑stakeholder environments. Pragmatic, community‑focused and outcomes‑driven.
