Clinical Nurse Consultant (Coordinator Elective Surgery), Queensland Health The Clinical Nurse Consultant Co-ordinator for Elective Surgery provides advanced clinical leadership and expertise in managing elective surgery waiting lists, case management of complex surgical patients, and efficient theatre scheduling. The Role An opportunity has become available for several Clinical Nurse Consultants (Coordinator Elective Surgery) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia. You will Monitor and optimise theatre list utilisation, including maintaining a standby patient repository Confirm patient readiness for surgery and complete pre-admission processes Facilitate improved patient journey, particularly for complex and urgent cases Work collaboratively with pre-admission and multidisciplinary teams to prepare patients for surgery About you To be successful in this position you will require: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost) Flexible work options Salary PackagingModern Facilities Diverse Work Culture 12.75% super 17.5% leave loading Permanent full time Base salary ranging from $132 562 - $143 924 per annum, $66.85 – $72.58 per hour About Us The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) Co-ordinator for Elective Surgery will be required to work collaboratively within a team, to ensure that patients are treated within their clinically recommended timeframes and treated in turn. This position manages elective surgery patients and ensures compliance with Queensland Health Elective Surgery Implementation Standards (ESIS).
