The role… As a Level 3 Systems Engineer, you’ll be the senior escalation point for complex technical incidents, lead cloud and infrastructure projects, and strengthen security and automation across multiple client environments. You will work closely with the Operations Manager, support junior engineers, and provide clear guidance to both technical and non technical stakeholders. Providing Level 3 support across Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, networking and security Leading investigations into identity, compliance, mail flow, MFA, conditional access and hybrid infrastructure issues Implementing cloud and on prem projects such as Entra ID, Intune, Conditional Access, Azure VMs, Exchange migrations and more Developing PowerShell automation to reduce recurring tasks and uplift efficiency Strengthening security controls including MFA, PIM, zero trust models, SPF, DKIM and DMARC Maintaining high quality documentation, diagrams and technical standards Supporting Essential Eight, ISO27001 or SMB1001 aligned environments Providing clear communication during strategy sessions, proposals and client meetings Mentoring Level 1 and 2 engineers to raise capability across the team What You'll Bring… We’re after a senior engineer who thrives in the MSP world and loves solving real technical challenges. Full working rights in Australia Minimum 3 years experience in a senior Level 3, Systems Administrator or similar MSP role Strong hands on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Active Directory and Intune Solid networking fundamentals across VLANs, routing, VPNs and firewalls Experience with modern security platforms including EDR or MDR PowerShell scripting ability with a passion for automation Proven capability delivering projects and handling technical escalations Excellent communication, problem solving and customer engagement skills Bonus points for experience with VMware or Hyper V, Sophos Central, or ConnectWise This is more than just a technical role.
