Institutional Buy Side Specialist - Australia & New Zealand Join as an Institutional Buy Side Specialist at FactSet. The role focuses on deepening adoption of FactSet’s front and middle‑office solutions across existing accounts, building client relationships, and driving commercial outcomes. Location Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Job Overview FactSet creates flexible, open data and software solutions for over 200,000 investment professionals worldwide. The Solutions Specialist will drive commercial outcomes by building strong client relationships and delivering high‑quality workflow expertise, maximizing deployment of FactSet’s front‑ and middle‑office solutions. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with generalist sales and other specialists to generate sales leads for middle office products. Facilitate both retention and expansion within assigned clients. Maintain a high level of sales activities, tracking sales efforts and client intelligence in Salesforce. Develop expertise in front and middle office workflows including Portfolio Analysis, Performance, Reporting, Risk Models, Analytics Production solutions, Portfolio Optimizers, FactSet Programmatic Environment and Backtesting, becoming a subject‑matter expert. Increase client awareness of FactSet’s front and middle office solutions. Create tailored product demonstrations to highlight the value added of analytics products to meet specific investment management needs. Manage and run effective trials to maximize opportunity win. Organize and prioritize feedback for Product Management and Product Development to enhance competitiveness. Build expertise in FactSet’s competitor landscape (BlackRock Aladdin, Bloomberg, MSCI, Morningstar, etc.). Key Requirements 3+ years of proven success in a sales and/or client‑facing role. Strong knowledge of buy‑side analytics workflows and challenges. Subject matter expertise in FactSet’s suite of middle‑office solutions. Strong Excel skills and willingness to learn Python for client demonstrations. Willingness to learn portfolio applications, underlying calculations and related theories. Independent worker who takes initiative. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize responsibilities. Excellent communication skills; confidence in presenting to groups and senior client stakeholders. Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills. Excellent finance knowledge; candidates working toward or open to CFA designation or other professional accreditation (CIPM, FRM, CAIA, etc.) is a plus.
