MBA (Human Resources)- Recruitment Specialist - Substation Engineering & Design Overview We're currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager based in Sydney to join our client who operate in the Transmission & Distribution industry. You will play a key role in managing the successful delivery of High Voltage (HV) Substations, Transmission Lines and associated energy project such as Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), overseeing the entire project lifecycle — from design through to commissioning and handover. Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end delivery of major HV energy projects, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives are met. Oversee project planning, engineering coordination, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities. Manage multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, construction, and commissioning personnel. Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards in line with company and client requirements. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and regulatory authorities. Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and progress reports. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote best practice project delivery processes. Experience Demonstrated experience in managing projects within the energy, utilities, or renewables sector. Strong understanding of project delivery frameworks, from engineering design through to construction and commissioning. Proven track record of successfully managing complex, multi-million-dollar projects. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences. Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and fostering a collaborative, safety-focused culture. Sound contractual and commercial acumen, including knowledge of major contract forms. Qualifications Degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
