We are now open to your expression of interest in the Senior Safety Advisor role based in the Gippsland region of Greater Melbourne. Location: Gippsland region, Greater Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Experience and role We require a minimum of 8 years experience on large scale infrastructure with experience on site. Assist in monitoring (ongoing) as subcontractors commence (upward reporting to Project Safety Manager) Communicate HSE requirements to subcontractor’s onsite Review Subcontractor HSE Interview Questionnaires and verify the capability of the subcontractor to deliver the required work task to agreed HSE standards Report any key issues to project leadership team and regional HSE management Assist in identification of key areas and develop HSE training needs analysis (safety and L&D supporters) Assist/carry out monitoring of current competencies and support ongoing development needs. Deliver training throughout project (where client allows) Assist in incident investigations and report to appropriate personnel Assist in site communication. Prepare project or workplace HSE inductions and prepare, conduct and/or coordinate HSE training programs Regularly review project HSE systems and plans against activity requirements Track progress against role & responsibility profiles and report on activities to project leadership team Enter and extract data from incident management system Qualifications Diploma Safety in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent Cert IV in Environmental Management Bachelor degree in Safety, Quality, Environment, Project Management or other associated disciplines Safety Lead Auditor Qualification Samsung C&T Australia is committed to building diverse and inclusive teams.
