Role Overview UMENCO is seeking a Head of Editorial for a technology studio building AI-powered tools that streamline how brands ideate, design and execute. The Head of Editorial will have an exceptional international perspective, cultural fluency and the ability to translate complex technological shifts into narratives that resonate across diverse creative communities. The successful talent will shape the global editorial vision for the brand, positioning the company as a cultural authority on the evolving relationship between AI, creativity and brand expression. The role calls for a talent who is fluent in multiple cultural registers – someone who understands how creative discourse differs across the world and who can synthesise global perspectives into a cohesive, sophisticated point of view. In this role, the successful talent will define the editorial strategy, lead the creation of thoughtful and culturally attuned content and cultivate relationships with influential voices across design, art, technology and cultural criticism. The Head of Editorial will oversee a range of editorial outputs – from long form narratives to visual storytelling – ensuring each piece reflects refined taste, intellectual rigor and contemporary global relevance. The successful talent will also translate complex AI concepts into accessible, resonant narratives, contextualising how technological transformation is reshaping creative practices, cultural production and aesthetic norms around the world. The Head of Editorial will have deep editorial experience, strong writing and editorial talent and an extensive global network across creative and cultural communities.
