Despite being a small(ish) agency, we're known around the world – and we've been around for 27 years. What's more, we're located in the heart of Richmond, around the corner from the train station, shops and cafes ofSwan St. So who are we looking for, exactly? We need someone who can: interpret scientific data for both professionals and lay people develop content in a variety of different styles and formats (including online) understand the clinical context liaise comfortably with clients about clinical, medical and scientific information write under pressure and to deadline understand and respond to specific briefs be factually correct and creative at the same time develop an understanding of brand and marketing concepts learn to think strategically work well in a creative team and as part of an agency environment. For this role, you need: a degree in the life sciences strong organisational skills well-developed writing skills (as demonstrated by writing test) a passion for developing medical and healthcare content (highly promotional through to highly technical). If you are transitioning from a clinical or lab role, or looking to develop specific expertise as a medical writer, you will be strongly supported by professional development from senior mentors, so previous work experience in healthcare communications is not essential. However, some professional writing experience or qualifications in writing, editing or marketing would be highly desirable. Microsoft Word skills are essential; familiarity with PowerPoint, Excel, Veeva and EndNote is very useful, as are general internet search skills. Any experience working with websites, content management systems, social platforms, multimedia projects and video would also be an advantage. Practicalities We are open to hearing from people interested in working full-time or part-time in a hybrid set-up (office is a 3-minute walk from Richmond train station), with salary commensurate to level of experience in an agency or other professional writing environment.
