Senior Legal Counsel - Corporate + Funds Your New Organisation Our client is a listed real estate investor and funds management business with a strong Australian and New Zealand footprint and a growing funds platform. The organisation operates retail property funds and is actively executing a growth strategy that includes expanding into wholesale funds and more complex capital structures. This evolution is driving increased transactional activity, corporate complexity and the need for senior, commercial legal leadership. The business is well-capitalised, pragmatic and commercially driven with a legal team that is resourcing ahead of growth, not reacting to it. Your New Role Reporting to the General Counsel, this is a senior, influential legal role operating as 2IC within the legal function. Working closely with the executive team and Board, you will provide commercial legal advice across: Corporate transactions, including M&A and strategic initiatives Funds establishment and ongoing funds management (retail and wholesale) ASX Listing Rules compliance and listed entity governance Oversight of the Company Secretarial function Supporting the organisation’s transition into wholesale funds and more complex structures Cutting through complexity to deliver commercially sound, pragmatic advice This role will suit a senior lawyer who enjoys being close to deals, strategy, and decision‑making. It will not suit lawyers whose experience is primarily regulatory advisory in nature.
