Head of Global Equities – Investment Leadership Role A large, leading multi-product investment manager with consistently growing FUM is seeking a senior, investment leader to head its Global Equities capability. The size of the global equities FUM makes it one of the largest players in Australia in the space. This is a high-impact role with responsibility for portfolio outcomes, leadership of a multi-location investment team, and oversight of a significant and growing global equities platform. Opportunity This role combines portfolio responsibility with platform leadership. The successful candidate will be accountable for global equity investment outcomes across multiple global equities strategies, while also leading the evolution of a sector-based research and portfolio structure. The role is designed for an experienced investor who enjoys leading teams and setting direction, not just investment research. Key Responsibilities Leadership of a global equities platform managing large, institutional‑scale capital. Oversight of sector‑led portfolios and coordination of the global research pipeline. Responsibility for risk, portfolio construction, and consistent alpha delivery within a low tracking‑error framework. Engagement with senior stakeholders including executive leadership, boards, and key clients. Contribution to the long‑term growth strategy of a rapidly scaling investment business. Occasional international travel. Candidate Profile 15+ years’ experience in global equities portfolio management. Proven track record of delivering consistent above‑benchmark performance. Experience managing material pools of capital within an institutional or wholesale context. Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and influence senior investment professionals. Strong investment judgement, commercial acumen, and comfort operating at senior governance level. Open‑minded, adaptable, and constructive leadership style. This role will suit an experienced portfolio manager or investment leader who wants to step into a broader platform leadership role, or a senior investor seeking to combine capital responsibility with genuine people leadership.
