The Opportunity You’ll join a forward-thinking credit team that partners directly with the Head of Credit, CEO, and senior leaders across the business. This role plays a pivotal part in assessing and structuring commercial lending solutions, including new products designed to unlock capital for SME customers via mortgage‑secured and asset‑backed facilities. Your work will directly influence lending outcomes, credit quality, client experience and portfolio growth – all within an organisation that values judgment, initiative and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Conduct end‑to‑end assessment of commercial, cash‑flow and asset finance applications. Review financial statements, tax returns, cash‑flow models and business structures to determine creditworthiness. Approve loans within delegated authority and prepare detailed recommendations for senior credit committee. Collaborate with brokers, accountants, BDMs and internal leaders to structure deals aligned to growth and risk appetite. Support ongoing refinement of credit frameworks, processes and operational efficiencies as the business scales. Contribute insights into industry trends, competitor movements and opportunities for portfolio expansion. About You Background in commercial lending, business credit analysis or asset finance (bank or non‑bank). Strong financial analysis skills – comfortable interpreting complex financials and SME cash‑flow. Delegated lending authority (current or prior) highly regarded. Exposure to mortgage‑secured or specialist/non‑conforming lending advantageous. Confident communicator who enjoys partnering with brokers, referrers and senior stakeholders.
